ICT-enabled teaching and learning is often seen as an important vehicle for the development of English language competencies among teachers and learners. Discuss.

Assalamualaikum to Madam Asmayati and my fellow friends.

    In Malaysia, we can see that the development of technology has been improved as other countries. Thus, I believe that ICT which is known as Information and Communication Technology gives a positive impact on all people. I agreed with the statement that stated ‘ICT-enabled teaching and learning is one way to enhance the English language among teachers and learners’. The English language is one of the important languages because it is used by people around the world to communicate with each other. Because of that, teachers and learners need to enhance their English language to gain information and exchanged their knowledge through ICT. We know that ICT is a place where we can gain any information, knowledge, and friends.

    Other than that, ICT is an important tool in education because it helps teachers to have better teaching and learning methods. Both the teaching and learning process occurs through ICT, which can help teachers and students to improve their vocabulary and communication skills. To exchange information and knowledge, students and learners need to improve their communication skills. So the leaners will be receiving the same information or knowledge that is given by the teachers. Communication skills involve listening, speaking, and observing. Therefore, it is true that ICT enables teachers and learners to develop their English language.

    For the beginners, they will face challenges because they need to gain and exchange knowledge in English. But trust me, in the long term, they will slowly manage to use it and their English language will be improved. I believed with this statement because I can see my English language improved and ICT helps me to be a knowledgeable person.
